Cleric booked for derogatory remarks against lady-doctors

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have arrested a religious cleric on his derogatory remarks against lady-doctors, female nurses and state institutions, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Wednesday.

Some videos of the speeches of a religious cleric named Mufti Sardar Ali Haqqani son of Abdul Hameed Haqqani a resident of Nowshera Kalan in Pashtoon language were viral on social media in which he criticized the role of lady doctors, nurses, and government organizations and personalities over the issue of the existence of Coronavirus among the society.

He strongly opposed the epidemic disease of corona declaring it just a stunt. He provoked his followers, viewers, and listeners through his derogatory speeches targeting especially the role of lady doctors and nurses.

The detained religious cleric harshly attacked the self-respect of females in his speeches that were later viral on social media. Law enforcement agencies took serious notice of it and Nowshera Kalan Police headed by its officer Waqqas Rafique registering a case arrested him.

It is worth mentioning that the detained religious cleric just before his arrest also made viral his recorded video on social media in which he taking back his previous video statements against women especially the lady-doctors who are fighting against coronavirus apologized to them.
