NAB summons Punjab Secretary, Specialized Healthcare Nabeel Awan in PEC case

The National Accountability Court Lahore has summoned Secretary, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department Punjab in a case related to Punjab Entertainment Company (PEC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a NAB order, Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, who was Ex Additional Secretary, CM Secretariat, Punjab and currently Secretary, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department Punjab, has been summoned to appear before NAB on May 3 at NAB’s Lahore Office in an inquiry related to the Punjab Entertainment Company.
According to NAB, an inquiry has revealed that in the year 2008, Barrister Nabeel as being Additional Secretary CM Secretariat, Lahore, allegedly, without any lawful authority took over the record/inventory of Punjab Entertainment Company (PEC).
However, no list of that record/inventory was handed over to the company officials and allegedly important files/record related to the affairs of the company is missing, which is also not mentioned in the stock register of CM Secretariat.
Therefore NAB has asked Barrister Nabeel to appear on May 3at 11:00 am at NAB Complex Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore before Nadir Abbas, Assistant Director, NAB Lahore to record his statement along with original CNIC and other relevant record/documents related to the issue.
