Justice Qasim Khan appointed new LHC CJ

Justice Qasim Ali Khan has been appointed as the new Lahore High Court chief justice, a notification said on Friday.
The Federal Law Ministry issued the notification after the approval of President Dr Arif Alvi.
The 50th LHC top judge will take oath on March 19 – a day after the retirement of the outgoing top judge.
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) recommended the name of Justice Qasim in a meeting in Islamabad.
