The Election Commission of Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has dispatched letters to regional election commissioners in this regard.
As per the letter, RMS will be practiced from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for 51 National Assembly seats, says the letter. Operators will also practice on RMS machines for 145 provincial assembly seats.
The election commission had also dispatched letters to all regional commissioners in this regard on February 23.
The provincial election commissioner has issued an operators list to work on RMS machines.
The letter says that the implantation of the guidelines issued by the ECP must be ensured. The ECP has already issued protocols to provincial election commissioners and district election commissioners.
If data entry operators face any difficulty, they should report to the election officers concerned, reads the letter.
The letter further says that this temporary practice must be preferred and proposals should be presented.
All the operators have been provided user names and passwords for training practice. The sources said that the ECP had already given a contract worth rupees tens of millions to modify the RMS.
