In a desperate need to provide the audience with unusual content seemingly to capture interest, the Pakistani drama Raqs-e-Bismil crew has duplicated a ‘Christian painting’ for the banner of chart-topping on-air serial.
The attention-snatching drama is directed by Wajahat Rauf and is based on a book by Nabila Aziz.
The drama revolves around the lives of an exceedingly religious individual Moosa (Imran Ashraf) and a dancer Zohra (Sarah Khan).
Moosa belongs to family of highly renowned spiritual leaders and somehow falls deeply in love with Zohra who is a dancer.
Moosa’s intense attraction causes a spark as his selection of interest is against all of his spiritual and ethical values ever since growing up.
The ‘unique’ concept of Raqs-e-Bismil has caused the Pakistani audience to watch the drama with extreme fervour.
This has caused the drama’s TRP to accelerate at a rapid pace and has broken records even internationally with a massive amount of views on each episode.

When Raqs-e-Bismil first came out, it’s banner was very much admired by everyone emphasising on its ‘uniqueness’ and how it stood out.
However, as always, the poster is the exact duplication of the Mary Magdalene and Jesus painting.
It is a very popular painting in the Christian culture.
Fans of the drama who have obviously seen each aspect of the project with extreme dedication also think that the banner is a re-creation.
The brilliant cast of the Raqs-e-Bismil consists of Imran Ashraf, Sarah Khan, Anushey Abbasi, Momin Saqib, Javairia Abbasi and Mehmood Aslam.
The drama is written by Hashim Nadeem and produced by Shazia Wajahat and Momina Duraid.
