Punjab CM visits Shalimar Garden, reviews restoration works

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited Shalimar Garden Thursday and reviewed the ongoing construction and restoration works regarding the conservation and beauty of the historic site, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He appreciated the initiatives of walled cities for providing basic facilities to tourists and directed to end all encroachments from around the garden.
The Chief Minister inspected the renovation of the Shahi Hamam, Cheenee Khana, Bara Dari, Shah Jahan and Queen's bedroom in Shalimar Garden and the work of restoring the inner and outer walls of the garden to its original condition.
He was briefed by DG Walled Cities and Heritage Areas Authority Kamran Lashari about the project, which also includes the construction of parking area for tourists and ramp for the convenience of special persons.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by DC Lahore Rafia Haider, Commissioner and DGLDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Caretaker Minister of Housing, Zakat and Usher Azfar Ali Nasir and AC Garden Town Syeda Anam Fatima.
