Martyred cop laid to rest in Mardan

The funeral prayers of head constable Israr, who embraced martyrdom in the wake of a terrorist attack on a police mobile van in Katling Babuzai area of Mardan last night, were offered at Mardan Police Lines on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He was laid to rest in his native town Lund Khor, an area of Mardan district.
Two other policemen and a girl were injured in the terrorist attack. Police shot dead the terrorist in the retaliatory firing and after the incident, a heavy contingent of police cordoned off the area.
Reportedly, the operation was still underway.
