Former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar has refused to comment on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif's remarks.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, he said he did not want to respond to ‘such things’.
He added: “Everyone knows the truth. Every person has freedom of expression Nawaz Sharif is also free to express his views. I will not comment on what Nawaz Sharif said.”
Nawaz Sharif became PML-N president six years after he lost the party's top seat following a Nisar-led bench decision in the Panama Papers case.
Addressing the general council meeting, Nawaz said it was time to rejoice not because he was reassuming the presidency but because ‘Saqib Nisar’s decision has been thrown into the dustbin’.
