Minister attends dinner reception hosted by British HC for Pakistan, England cricketers

British High Commissioner Christian Turner hosted a dinner in honor of Pakistani and England cricket teams in Islamabad on Monday nihgt, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also attended the reception and also met Pakistani and England captains Ben Stokes and Babar Azam.
The Information Minister addressing the gathering welcomed the England cricket team on Pakistani soil for the historic series and said that the entire nation is excited for the series which is taking place after a gap of 17 years.
She highlighted the nation’s passion for cricket and termed Pakistan, the best place for international playing cricket.
She added that the Pakistan government has been providing the best security to England's cricket team.
The information minister appreciated the performance of Pakistan cricket teams in the recent T20 World Cup and congratulated England on winning T20 WC.
Ben Stokes thanked the people of Pakistan for their excellent hospitality. He said that the security is satisfactory and he pinned hope to play good cricket.
Skipper Babar Azam also welcomed the Pakistani cricket team and said he looked forward to having exciting Test series.
