Husband of former wife clubbed to death in Narowal

A man in his 60s clubbed to death the husband of his former wife seven years after her second marriage over his refusal to go for a divorce, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to the officials from Narowal City Police Station, Shaista Bibi had married Karamat Ali, 65, after getting divorce from Maulvi Ghafoor, 67. Hence, the accused, Ghafoor, had developed a grudge against the two.
He repeatedly tried to convince the victim to divorce her but he refused, which made him decide to kill the husband of his former wife.
The police say Karamat was passing through a local graveyard along with his friends when Ghafoor attacked him, hammering him with a club repeatedly, which resulted in serious injuries.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the killer managed to flee the scene after the murder.
On the other hand, three people were shot dead over an old enmity as they arrive at a local court for hearing in Daska. Two others received serious wounds in the incident.
As the rivals opened fire, Junaid Khan and Pitras died on the spot while Ahsan succumbed to his wounds in hospital.
Meanwhile, Bilal and Akram are stated to be in a serious condition and being treated in the hospital.
