Children among 13 die as landslide brings down roof of Upper Dir house
Locals help Rescue personnel retrieve bodies buried under debris

A heavy landslide caused by heavy rains brought down roof of a house in Upper Dir killing 13 members of a family including nine children and two women late Thursday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The family was sleeping at their house in the Patraak area of Upper Dir when the landslide hit the roof.
A Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and started its operation to retrieve the bodies from the debris.
The rescue personnel told the media that the roof of the house collapsed when it was struck by a landslide triggered by uninterrupted heavy rain in the area.
According to police, the rescue personnel faced difficulties in their operation due to the downpour and the darkness.
A large number of local residents helped Rescue 1122 personnel, police, Levies force and Civil Defence workers to clear the debris.
Later, all the dead bodies were shifted to a local hospital.
Man dies in Kashmore roof collapse
A man died when roof of his house came down in village Haji Khamaisu in District Kashmore on Friday.
Jamal Muhammadani’s family was shocked over his death which was cause by roof collapse triggered by heavy rain overnight.
