Netizens gave a hard time to actress Iffat Omar on Monday when she was alleged for lying regarding getting a privileged coronavirus vaccine shot that prompted her to immediately delete her clarification tweet as soon as the netizens called her out.

The actress was among the privileged few who were vaccinated against COVID-19 at the place of Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema.

The video went viral on social media

In response to the video, Iffat Omer tweeted that “I would like to clarify this was a booster shot of a Cansino (trial) vaccine received from UHS who also provided the previous shot. It’s not illegal or privilege”

But she deleted her tweet as soon as netizens called her out.

Prime Minister's Spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill also bashed the actress and other accomplices on Twitter.

American blogger Cynthia D Ritchie also jumped in and tweeted on Monday. She wrote, “If someone lied about which vaccine she took and whether or not she jumped queue, does this diminish her credibility as a witness in court cases?”

Shoiab Taimor wrote “If you have to lie, at least do some basic research. There is only one dose of the vaccine and the trials are long over. Even if they were happening, no one gets vaccinated at home.”
