Leaders of both the parties sought support for their respective candidates for the slot of Chief Minister in Punjab.
The Chheena Group claimed that the PML-Q assured them of representation in Punjab cabinet, whereas, the PML-N promised tickets in the next elections.
Malik Ghazanfar Abbas said that a meeting of the group members had been called in Lahore on Wednesday (today) to take stock of the situation.
He maintained that there were 14 assembly members in the like-minded Chheena Group, adding that the number would climb further as more assembly members were in touch with them.
