Journalist dies as Imran Khan's container runs over her

A journalist died as former prime minister Imran Khan’s container ran over her, 24NewsHD TV channel reporter.
The deceased has been identified as Channel 5 reporter Sadaf Naeem. The tragedy took place in Muridke
She is survived by two sons. She tied the knot with Naeem Bhatti in 2000.
Sadaf was on duty when she fell off a container and the vehicle of Imran Khan ran over her. Imran Khan came down and announced halting the march on GT Road. He said he was very saddened by the accident that claimed the life of Sadaf Naeem.

Her body was handed over to the family after fulfilling medico-legal formalities late Sunday. Police handed over to the bereaved family in Lahore.
Imran Khan said he cannot find words to express grief. He added his sympathies are with the bereaved family.
The government announced a sum of Rs8.5 million for the family of Sadaf in financial assistance.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced Rs5 million in financial aid for the family of the late journalist Sadaf Naeem. The prime minister directed the authorities to immediately complete the process and hand over the cheque to the families. In a tweet, the premier expressed condolence over the death of Sadaf Naeem, saying Sadaf Naeem was dynamic and hardworking.

Separately, the Punjab government also announced Rs3.5 million for Sadaf’s family. According to Punjab government spokesperson Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Chief Minister Parvez Elahi and the DGPR Punjab allocated financial aid for the family of Sadaf Naeem.

Punjab government will also support the children of the deceased and their educational expenses will also be borne by the provincial government, Musrat Cheema added. Chief Minister Pervez Elahi and his team members are deeply grieved over the sad demise of the journalist. Punjab government and PTI as a party stand with Sadaf Naeem's family in this hour of sorrow, Musrat Jamshed added.
