NADRA develops mobile App for creating ID cards online, PM congratulates

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Tuesday developed a first-ever mobile app in the world for creating Identity Card online. Prime Minister Imran Khan commended the move in a tweet.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, NADRA used the latest technology to facilitate citizens of Pakistan to get their identity cards through an easy process.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also congratulated the nation and appreciated NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik and his team for introducing such a mobile app in his tweet on Tuesday.
The PM termed the new app a revolutionary step in providing convenience, especially to the overseas Pakistanis.

As per the report, by using this app, the applicants’ fingerprints could also be taken on mobile phones for making their identity cards online.
The report said that the mobile app program of NADRA would be able to obtain live biometrics (fingerprints) on mobile as well as verification.
Talking about the achievement, the NADRA Chairman said the mobile fingerprint access was the beginning of a new era.
He said that the move could revolutionize many sectors of the economy as talented Pakistani youth could use this technology to introduce new products, services and facilities in the country.
The NADRA chairman said due to this move of NADRA, the confidence of global companies like Amazon and PayPal would also increase to expand their businesses in Pakistan.
The chairman said this mobile app would be linked to the NADRA portal https://id.nadra.gov.pk and Play Store and PAK IDENTITY app could be downloaded.
