Four people, including Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA Abdul Majeed Niazi, were booked in the case of torturing a trailer driver in Fatehpur area of Layyah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The driver told the police that MNA Niazi and his men beat him up when he denied him the way during a road crossing.

Following the incident, the driver had blocked the MM Road to register his protest.

MNA’s son, Abdur Raheem Niazi, on the other hand, has said that right now his father is in northern areas. “The government is politically victimizing us by registering false and fabricated cases against us,” he alleged.

He has asked the police to see the facts before registering false against him and his family.
