SCBA starts inspection of property damage at PIA plane site

Sindh Building Control Authority (SCBA) has started inspection of damage to the affected houses and buildings at the ill-fated PK-8303 crash site.
As per details, SCBA technical committee headed by Engineer Benish Shabbir visited the crash site today (Monday) along with Director Structure and other senior officers. The SCBA technical committee has been assigned to inspect all the affected houses and collect samples of the affected buildings. The technical committee would further look into which houses are livable and which are not.
SBCA technical committee shall submit a report to the Sindh government and concerned authorities for further process regarding compensation to the owners including repair works.
This development comes soon after the Airbus investigation team finished its on-site investigation process and has left for France taking important evidences including blackbox and Cockpit voice recorders that would be decoded for concluding the investigation report.
It is pertinent to mention that PIA flight PK -8303 crashed just before landing in a densely populated residential area of Model Colony, Karachi and resulted in the death of 97 passengers and one person on the ground.
Moreover as per latest updates, today the body of Mubashir son of Ifitikhar and the body of a Pakistan Army officer Lieutenant Yousaf Hamza has been identified. This takes the total number of identified bodies to 80.
