The government of Saudi Arabia has again sought immigration facility at Islamabad and Karachi airports in order to expedite immigration of Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Saudi Embassy in Islamabad has written a request to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and Airports Authority for swift provision of immigration at Islamabad International Airport and at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

The Saudi Embassy also sought urgent visas for its immigration officers.

The embassy also urged measures for allocation of space for Saudi immigration counters. The equipment which will be brought from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan for immigration process should be exempted from tax and duty, the embassy added.

The embassy also sought appointment of liaison officers for and coordination and contacts with the Saudi officials. The Pakistani authorities were requested to make the immigration arrangements as soon as possible.

Under Road to Makkah Project, the Saudi government has decided to provide immigration facility to Pakistani pilgrims inside Pakistan at Islamabad and Karachi airports.
