IHC releases short order of Nawaz’s Avenfield acquittal decision

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court has released the written short order of the Nawaz’s acquittal in the Avenfield reference.

According to the short order, the NAB prosecutor, during the hearing, drew the court's attention towards the Maryam Nawaz and Captain ® Safdar Awan case decision. This court has given its observation in the acquittal verdict of Maryam and Captain ® Safdar case.

The order said that the NAB did not have any documentary evidence to prove his case against Nawaz Sharif. So the court accepts Nawaz’s appeal against his conviction and orders for his acquittal in the Avenfield reference.

The Islamabad High Court will release a detailed judgement explaining reasons for the acquittal later.
