Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said the government is going to take to task hate-mongers.
This he said while talking to Shia and Sunni scholars in separate meetings on Saturday, Ministers Saeed Ghani, Nasir Hussain, Murtaza Wahab, Sindh Rangers DG Umer Bukhari and police bigwigs attended the meeting.
Syed Rizi, Allama Furqan Haideri Maulana Baqir, Hussain Zaidi, Maulana Nazir represented Shia while Mufti Muneeb, Taqi Usmani, Maulana Sarwat Ejaz Qadri and Mufti Abid Mubarak were from the Sunni community.
The CM urged Ulema to play their part for promoting interfaith harmony as the country’s enemy wanted to disrupt peace. The visiting dignitaries vowed to back the Sindh government for maintaining law and order.
He called for following the teachings of Sufis who promoted interfaith harmony and brotherhood. The CM insisted on respecting the faith of others and avoiding hurting religious sentiments. He also talked about measures to maintain peace on the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
