The birth anniversary of fourth pious Caliph of Islam Hazrat Ali (RA) is being observed today (Sunday, 13 Rajab) with religious reverence, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Special functions have been organised at mosques and imambargahs at which religious scholars will shed light on the teachings and life of the fourth caliph. 

Apart from that both the state-owned, PTV, and private TV channels will air programmes to mark the occasion. 

Meanwhile, strict security arrangements have been put in place as processions will be taken out in different cities of the country to pay homage to Hazrat Ali (RA).  

The traffic police in Karachi have issued a plan in view of the procession that will be taken out from Ghafoor Chamber at 4:00 PM in the afternoon. 

The procession, after passing through different routes, will finally culminate at Shah Khurasan imambargah.
