NAB issued notice on acquittal pleas of PM Shehbaz, others in money laundering case

An accountability court (AC) in Lahore on Wednesday issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the petitions for acquittal filed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, members of his family and others in a money laundering and assets beyond sources of income reference, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
AC judge Qamaruz Zaman heard the petitions.
The court also granted one-day exemption to PML-N leader and PM Shehbaz’s son Hamza Shehbaz from appearance.
The court then adjourned hearing of the case until July 19.
Earlier, the prime minister and other suspects namely Hamza Shehbaz, Suleman Shehbaz, Haroon Yousaf and Syed Tahir Naqvi in the case filed acquittal pleas in the court.
