Had the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) come into power with a two-thirds majority in the 2018 general election, a separate South Punjab province would have been established, Foreign Minister Shah Shah Mahmood Qureshi said.

The PTI will complete its term and it will come to power again on the basis of performance, he told the media in Multan on Sunday.

The FM said Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone of South Punjab Secretariat and work on a new province will go on.

The new province would be established at all costs, he said, adding that the party under Prime Minister Imran Khan is on job to better public service delivery though the former corrupt rulers left the country in the lurch.

The FM also praised the role of media for the development of South Punjab and urged them to play their role for raising voice for the establishment of a separate province.
