The flights operation at Islamabad International Airport was disrupted by passengers of a delayed flight who staged a lay-in protest at the airport on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The irate passengers staged their protest at the international counter vowing not to let any plane take off after their flight was delayed for over 12 hours.

PIA’s flight PK-211 was scheduled to take off at 9:00 pm on Friday night from Islamabad Airport to Ras al Khaimah in UAE.

The furious passengers paralysed the international counter staging a protest by laying on the floor. They accused the PIA administration of not providing any facility to them as there was place to sit at the airprt.

The passengers said the PIA administration even not provided food to them. “We do not know when their plane will leave,” they added.

The authorities rushed in reinforcements by calling in more personnel of the Airport Security Force (ASF) to deal with any situation.

The airport inquiry later said that there is a possibility that the plane will take for Ras Al Khaimah at 10:00 am.
