The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday disposed of a petition to place the name of former president Pervez Musharraf on the Exit Control List (ECL) for being ineffective, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“Has this petition not become ineffective?” Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi said.
“If the petition was fixed for hearing six years ago, it would not have become ineffective,” petitioner Taufiq Asif said.
“Our concerns proved to be correct. Pervez Musharraf went abroad and did not come back,” he added.
“Just leave the matter to Allah,” Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail said.
“Now we are leaving the matter to Allah only,” the petitioner said.
A three-member SC bench, headed by Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, conducted the hearing.
