Lahore still is on the top of the list of most polluted cities of the world as its air quality has been recorded 256, way ahead of the safe level while Karachi stays at number 5 position in the AQ index, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to the metrological report, Lahore temperature was recorded 13C and there is no chance of rain.

Due to persistent worst air quality conditions, citizens are falling prey to breathing and skin diseases.

Besides smog, the plain areas of Punjab were engulfed in fog in the morning which caused problems for the motorists compelling the administration to shut M11 from Lahore to Sialkot and M2 from Lahore to Momin Kot.

However, after an improvement in the visibility, the Motorway has been opened.

Motorway spokesperson asked road users to avoid overspeeding and use front and back fog lights while driving.
