An unofficial committee of Ulema called its moonsighting meeting to observe the moon of Eid-ul-Fitr at Jamia Masjid Qasim Ali Khan in Peshawar tomorrow (Tuesday, April 9) evening.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, this meeting has been called parallel to the National Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting at the official level on the same day and time.
As per the announcement, the unofficial local Ulema committee will be held at Jamia Masjid Qasim Ali Khan tomorrow after the Maghrib prayers as per tradition.
After calling the meeting of local Ulema on the same day, hopefully, there will be fewer chances of dispute on moonsighting and people across the country will also celebrate Eid unitedly this year.


Ramadan may wrap up in 29 days, predicts Met Office


As per the prediction of the Met Office, the holy month of Ramazan will be 29 days this year and after seeing the crescent of the Islamic month of Shawwal, Pakistanis, especially ladies and children will celebrate 'Chand Raat' on April 9 to welcome Eid Day glamorously.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that the Shawwal moon is likely to be sighted across the country on Tuesday, April 9 this year and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the birth of the new moon will be on Monday, April 8 at 11:21 pm, and on Tuesday, April 9 at the time of sunset, the age of the moon will be 19 to 20 hours.
The Meteorology Department reported that the duration of the moon's appearance on the horizon next Tuesday will be more than 50 minutes after sunset.
In most parts of the country, including the southern regions, the forecast on April 9 is likely to remain clear, while the forecast may be cloudy in the northern regions.


Saudi Arabia to hold Eid moonsighting meeting today with less chances of Eid tomorrow


A moonsighting meeting will be held today in Saudi Arabia to see the crescent of the Islamic month of Shawwal.
The Saudi Arabian authorities have also appealed to the citizens to see the Shawwal moon today April 8.
The Shawwal moon is unlikely to be seen in Saudi Arabia today as the astronomers predicted that Eid-ul-Fitr in Saudi Arabia is likely to happen on Wednesday.
The official announcement of the moon of Shawwal in Saudi Arabia is made by the Supreme Court.
