Former Prime Minister Imran Khan suffered a major setback on Tuesday as an accountability court in Islamabad rejected his bail applications in two corruption cases related to the Tosha Khana and 190 million pounds references, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Judge Muhammad Basheer announced the verdict after hearing arguments from both sides. The court also issued arrest warrants for Khan and directed the authorities to produce him before the court on January 11, when the hearing in the Tosha Khana reference will resume.

The court also fixed January 17 as the date for pronouncing the sentence in the 190 million pounds reference, in which Khan is accused of having assets beyond his known sources of income.
