Turkish envoy Mehmet praises Pakistan quake assistance

Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Mehmet Paçacı has expressed his gratitude to Pakistan for providing humanitarian assistance to quake-it people of Turkiye, and said that Pakistan has always stepped up to help Turkiye through thick and thin, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
In an exclusive interview with 24Newsw TV channel, the Turkish envoy lauded Pakistan for being the first responder to the earthquake saying “Although the earthquake in Turkiye was the worst disaster in history, Pakistan made history by sending its rescue teams, who reached in affected area within no time.”
He also praised NDMA for its ongoing operation in Turkiye's earthquake-affected area till date.
During the interview, he claimed that over 46,000 people have been died due to the earthquake, and that efforts are still being made to recover bodies under the rubble.
“Camps have been set up in different cities of Pakistan, including outside Islamabad Centaurus Mall, where people are helping the victims of Turkiye,” he added.
