Punjab CM launches Nayi Zindagi programme for acid attack victims

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday launched Nayi Zindagi programme worth Rs200 million to uplift the acid attack victims by providing them financial support, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Punjab chief minister said the welfare of marginalized classes is the top priority of the government and the provincial government has launched this Punjab Ehsaas Programme for the welfare of poor people.

Under the Nayi Zindagi Programme, the provincial government will bear the full cost of the medical treatment of the acid attack victims whether women or men.

Usman Buzdar said Rs200 million have been allocated for Nayi Zindagi Programme and in the initial phase, it is being started in 11 backward districts of Punjab.

The Punjab Chief Minister said special measures are also being taken for the human resource development in the province.
