Punjab Assembly passes resolution for imposition of more taxes on tobacco

The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution with a majority vote for imposition of new taxes on tobacco use.
The resolution tabled by MPA Tahira Mushtaq says that keeping in view the increasing use of tobacco in educational institutions additional taxes should be imposed on use of tobacco in Punjab.
The resolution says that enforcement of anti-tobacco laws in Punjab should be ensured.
