Let 24NewsHD do the honor of providing you with an eminent life lesson regarding the dire need to be kind, here are the golden words offered by the amazing Arfa Sayeda Zehra while in conversation with another veteran Pakistani actress Samina Peerzada:
Samina Peerzada: “Kabhi royee hain app?” (Have you ever cried?)
Arfa Syed: “Bohat royee.” (Yes, many times).
Samina Peerzada: “Kis baat pe?” (Regarding what?)
Arfa Syed: “Kisi ki bebasi pe aur phir uspe apni bebasi pe, kuch nahi karsakti, kuch nahi karsakti, yeh khayal rulata haina, bebasi rulati hai ke kuch nahi app kar sakte, mujhe ranjh hota hai.” (I can’t help but shed a lot of tears when I witness some other person’s helplessness. I cry at my helplessness when I don’t have the means or capacity to help that person).
Arfa Syed: “Bohat choti si baat ka ranjh batati hoon jis pe mein shayad ghanton royee chup ke. Humaray ghar ek bachi aye tou meine kaha isko khana khilao. Mera chota sa dastoor hai ke koi bhi aye tou usko khana zaroor khilana hai.” (Let me tell you about one soul-wrenching incident which took place formerly and which made me cry a lot. A small girl once came to my house and I make sure to not let anyone exit my premises until and unless they have had something to eat or drink).
Arfa Syed: “Usne ek roti ke baad hath chor dia tou meine kaha ke aur khalo tou usne kaha ke bas mujhe itnay ki hi adat hai, mujhe ghar mein itni hi milti hai.” (When I gave her ‘rotis’ to eat, she stopped after finishing one ‘roti’ and then I asked her why did she stop so the little lady revealed that she is used to eating only one ‘roti’ because this is the only quantity she is given every day at home).
Samina Peerzada: “Aur yeh koi mushkil baat nahi hai ghurbat mita dena.” (It is not difficult to eradicate poverty you know?)
Arfa Syed: “Nahi, sirf ek baat ki kami hai, aiteebar ki.” (No, there is absence of only one factor which is trust).
Samina Peerzada: “Aur humaray state ke paas yeh power hai ke koi bhi shaks khaali pait na soye.” (And our government has the power that no one goes to bed starving).
Arfa Syed: “Yeh riyasat ki zimaadari hai.” (Yes, this is the government’s responsibility).
