Youtuber Adil Raja released in London after interrogation

Retired Maj Adil Farooq Raja, a known YouTuber, has been released in London after interrogation, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to sources, the former serviceman was taken into custody by Scotland Yard in the British city of Luton. They kept him for almost eight hours for the investigation.
According to information, a soldier turned journalist, Raja was summoned for questioning by the investigators for his alleged involvement in incitement to violence through YouTube and other social media platforms.
The platform has recently banned the former military officer’s channel for “spreading misinformation” through video streaming. Several cases have been registered against Raja in Pakistan on various charges.
Taking to Twitter, Adil Raja expressed his commitment to continue his struggle for the supremacy of the Constitution.

Raja, a fervent supporter of deposed prime minister Imran Khan and a scathing opponent of Pakistan’s agencies was arrested in Pakistan in connection with several cases involving inciting people to rebel against the government.
In a case involving criminal intimidation and breach of trust, a Pakistani court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for him.
Adil, a third-generation soldier, has a large following on social media platforms for his support for the PTI and critical views of the armed forces.
It may be recalled that Adil Raja, journalist Shaheen Sehbai, Haider Raza Mehdi, and Wajahat Saeed Khan have been booked on terrorism and sedition charges.
