The Pakistan International Airline continues evacuation of expat, although deadly coronavirus on the prowl across the globe.

The national flag carrier has so far brought 1,800 Pakistanis back home through relief and chartered flights. The PIA brought back 377 passengers from Toronto, 140 from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, 136 from Iraq, 125 from Azerbaijan, 430 from Japan, Thailand and Malaysia.

A total of 200 stranded Pakistanis from Istanbul were brought back to Pakistan.

A total of 11 relief flights took part in the rescue op in the areas where the airline has no proper accord to operate.

A spokesman told that the airline's relief flight operation is continuing and some additional flights will be operated from 15th to 19th of April, including a flight from Islamabad to Toronto on 15th, Islamabad to Manchester 16th and 18th. Two flights have also been planned from Karachi which includes Karachi to Jakarta on 18th and Karachi to Toronto on 19th.

The PIA is taking precautionary measures for its crew and passengers are being undergone test.

The PIA is operating relief flights as well as chartered flights and has so far carried more than 11, 200 passengers to and from Pakistan. The passengers can contact the Pakistan embassy; call Centre, booking offices and its website.
