The formation of the Balochistan cabinet has hit a significant delay, extending over one and a half months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Despite Sarfraz Bugti's swearing-in as Chief Minister on March 2, the province remains without a cabinet, causing a halt in civil affairs and decision-making processes.
The government spokesperson had previously announced that the cabinet would be formed immediately after the Eid holidays. However, the first day post-Eid has ended without any progress.
The delay is attributed to the inability of the coalition parties, Pakistan People's Party and PML-N, to reach a consensus on ministry allocations.
Furthermore, independent candidates who have aligned with these parties are also staking claims for ministries.
This deadlock has led to difficulties in governance, leaving the provincial administration in a state of limbo and raising concerns about the effective management of Balochistan's affairs.
