Lahore still retains most-polluted city position

Hazardous smog continues to choke Lahore with its air quality index as high as 373, making it again the most polluted city in the world, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The PM2.5 concentration in Lahore is currently 64.6 times the WHO annual air quality guideline value.
The minimum temperature of the city will remain at 16°C while the maximum temperature will rise to 26°C.
There is no chance of rain during the current week. Today, the city weather will remain misty and the level of humidity is recorded at 82%.
The Punjab government on Thursday issued a notification of observing a holiday on Saturday as part of measures to combat smog.
All educational institutions will be closed on Saturday, the notification said, adding that markets, gyms, cinemas and offices will open at 3 pm.
The holiday will be observed in Lahore Division, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sialkot, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin and Hafizabad.
