Senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen has said that it is absolutely false news that his company sold electricity to central power purchasing agency on an exorbitant rate.
While clarifying his position in a tweet on Sunday, Jahangir Tareen said that his company sold electricity according to the contract.
The latest mud slinging news about my company’s power projects over billing CPPA is totally wrong .We have billed according to contract. CPPA has actually DEDUCTED Rs 3.9 Bn from us . We have appealed against this deduction in the High Court and the case is now ongoing

“The truth of the matter is that central power purchasing agency has withheld Rs3.9 billion from my company,” Tareen said, and added that “Our company has taken this matter to the court against central power purchasing agency’s decision. The case is still sub-judice.”
