Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) located in Jamshoro, refused to conduct the medical and dental colleges admissions test (MDCAT), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
As per details, the Sindh government has assigned the task to Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) to conduct the test.
This will be the third consecutive time the DUHS will hold the test for admissions to private and government medical and dental universities and colleges across Sindh.
Sindh Health Secretary Rehan Baloch has issued a formal notification in this regard.
Earlier, LUMHS Vice Chancellor Dr Ikramuddin Ujjan stated that he could not conduct the MDCAT this year because his son would be taking the test as a candidate.
He said that in order to ensure impartiality and transparency, the MDCAT should be conducted by some other university.
