FBR initiates action against non-filers

The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has initiated proceedings against the tax non-filers, issuing notices to 400,000 of them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to sources, further action will be taken against non-filers not responding to the notices which includes disconnecting their electricity and gas connections.
The sources further said that the mobile phone SIMs of non-filers could also be blocked.
If need arises the FBR will issue orders to Discos for disconnection electricity connections.
