Instant messaging application WhatsApp is releasing a new update 2.22.19.6 through the Google Play Beta Program. So, what has changed in this update?
The list of the archived chats will soon have a new heading, according to WhatsApp's beta testers.
While building some important features for forthcoming upgrades, such as the possibility to edit messages and an awaited online privacy setting, WhatsApp is also focusing on some modest improvements for current features.
Archived chats will now have a new header that reads, "Your archived chats stay in your archive even when there are new incoming messages," but the user may press the header to adjust this behavior.
When this occurs, WhatsApp will immediately take the user to the archive settings so that they may turn on the archive mode (this is already available since last year). The archive row will be shifted to the bottom of the chat list and the archive header's wording will change if the user choose to disable the new archive.
After downloading the most recent beta from the Google Play Store, some beta testers are receiving the updated header for the list of their archived chats (although some fortunate beta testers may also get it by downloading the previous version), and additional activations are scheduled over the next few days.
