Funeral prayers for Gen Asim Munir's mother held

Funeral prayers for the late mother of Army Chief Gen Syed Asim Munir were held at the Racecourse Ground in Rawalpindi.
The prayer was attended by political and military figures, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, cabinet members, former military chiefs and other distinguished personalities.
Gen Asim Munir led the funeral prayers for his mother. Dignitaries in attendance included Chairman of the Senate Yusuf Raza Gilani, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and chief ministers of Sindh and Balochistan.
The event, held at Rawalpindi's Racecourse Ground, was marked by a solemn atmosphere as people from all walks of life gathered to offer their condolences. Former army chiefs also participated in the prayers, paying tribute to the late mother of Gen Asim Munir.
In addition, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister Aleem Khan were among the prominent figures who extended their heartfelt condolences following her passing.
