Nawaz arrives in Rawalpindi to offer condolences COAS Asim Munir

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Rawalpindi on Tuesday evening to offer his condolences to Army Chief General Asim Munir over the death of his mother.

Sharif will visit General Asim’s residence to offer his condolences. Later, Sharif will visit his residence in Murree.

General Asim’s mother passed away earlier on Tuesday, prompting an outpouring of condolences from political and religious leaders. 

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow, offering prayers for the departed soul.

In his condolence message, President Zardari said he equally shared the grief of Gen Asim and his family.
