Two men were killed and two others received critical injuries during heavy exchange of firing between two groups at a private housing society located in jurisdiction of Lohi Bhair Police Station in Islamabad on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
After receiving report of shootout, police rushed to the site and initiated an inquiry into the incident.
According to police, the clash broke out over the issue of an ‘honour’ involving boy of one group and girl of the other groups.
Police said they will soon made arrests.
Earlier in January 2025, owner of a private housing society was gunned down while his gunman received serious injuries when armed men opened fire on them outside the office of a senior district administration official in Rawalpindi.
Raja Daniyal Iqbal was standing outside the office along with his gunman Asim Rashid when the attackers targeted them in broad daylight. Police sources said that the firing incident occurred due to an old enmity.
During the recent past Daniyal Group had attacked a function organized by Metro City Project Gujar Khan in which a young man was killed. A land measuring 200 kanals adjacent to a private housing society was the main cause of dispute between the two groups.
