IPU appoints rep to witness court proceedings against Azam Swati

The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) has appointed a representative to witness the court proceedings against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
IPU representative Samav Ahmad Najeeb belongs to the Maldives. He will witness the court proceedings regarding the controversial tweet case against Azam Swati.
The case is under hearing in the court of a special judge (central).
Samav Ahmad Najeeb will also collect information about the trial of MNA Ali Wazir.
A notification for his appointment as a representative to witness the court proceedings against Azam Swati and collect information about the trial of MNA Ali Wazir was issued by the IPU secretary general.
He will submit the trial report of Azam Swati to the IPU.
The IPU is a global organisation of members of the Senate and National Assembly from around the world.
