Hamza Yusuf of Pakistani origin has become the First Minister of Scotland. Hamza’s father, Muzaffar Yusuf, belongs to the town of Mian Channu in Pakistan, his uncle shared his views with the 24NewsHD TV channel after Hamza achieved the milestone.
He congratulated the Pakistanis and the Muslim world for this great success. “We are proud that our first Pakistani youth is going to become the First Minister of Scotland.”
The 37-year-old Hamza Yusuf will be the new first minister of Scotland (the head of the Scottish government) and he will be the first leader of a British political party of Muslim and Pakistani origin. He will assume charge as the first minister to replace Nicola Sturgeon on Wednesday.

His uncle said he along with three brothers and one sister settled in the United Kingdom in 1964. Hamza Yusuf is my younger brother’s son. “We support democracy always and have the desire to reach a point where Hamza climes,” he revealed. “I am very proud of him for bringing a good name for the family.”
He said that Hamza Yusuf became a member of the Scottish Parliament for the first time in 2011 at the age of 26. “He has also been Minister for Transport, Minister for Justice, and Minister of Health in the Scottish Government. He said that as a minister, he met Hamza Sharif and also visited India.
Hamza Yusuf is a member of the Scottish Parliament from Polk, Glasgow.
Rishi Sonic was recently elected leader of the Conservative Party and is the first British Prime Minister of Asian origin, his ancestors are from Pakistan.
