The Sindh government has decided to rename four districts within the Karachi Division, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Thursday.
According to reliable sources, the Karachi West District will soon be known as Orangi District, reflecting a shift towards more localized naming conventions.
Similarly, the Karachi Central District is set to be renamed as Nazimabad District, a move that is expected to resonate well with the residents.
In a continuation of this trend, the Karachi East District will be rechristened as Gulshan District, while the Karachi South District will be simplified to Karachi District.
The authorities have decided to retain the current names of Malir District, Korangi District, and Kemari District.
