An Army captain and a lance naik embraced martyrdom while another four terrorists were killed in a gunbattle in South Waziristan District, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to an ISPR statement issued on Wednesday, on 29 March, a fire exchange took place between the security forces and terrorists in Makin. Troops responded in a befitting manner and killed four terrorists, the statement added.
However, during the intense exchange of fire Captain Saad Bin Amir (age 25 years, resident of Rawalpindi) and Lance Naik Riaz (age 37 years, resident of Tank), having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
ISPR said an area clearance operation was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
