The Islamabad High Court has reserved its verdict on the of Nikah in Iddat case against former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The high court on Wednesday heard the petitions filed by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi seeking dismissal of the case against them.

PTI founder Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja argued that the case was aimed at humiliating the petitioners. He said that the complaint was filed after five years and 11 months after the marriage in November 2023.

Khawar Maneka's lawyer Rizwan Abbasi argued that witnesses testified in the trial court that Bushra Bibi was in another marriage at the time of her Nikah with Imran Khan. He said that Bushra Bibi claimed that Maneka gave her verbal divorce in April 2017, but Maneka has photos of their tour of the northern areas which they undertook together in August.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq inquired how it would be proved that these are 39 days or 90 days of the Iddat?

Later, the Islamabad High Court reserved its decision on the petitions to dismiss the case of marriage during Iddat.
