The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday barred police from arresting Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, in different cases until June 13, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court also directed the inspector general of police (IGP), Islamabad to submit report on the cases registered against Bushra on the next date of the case’s hearing.
Earlier, law officers told the court that no case had been registered against PTI chairman’s wife at any police station either in Islamabad or Punjab.
Assistant Advocate General Mohsin Khawaja represented the government of Punjab in the case.
Bushra’s lawyer, on the occasion, said reports were doing rounds on media that an FIR was registered against his client at Kohsar police station of Islamabad. “However, there is no mention of the FIR in the report submitted by Islamabad Police in the morning,” he added.
Later the court adjourned hearing of the case until June 13.
