A local court in Islamabad has declared inadmissible a petition filed against the Nikah of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Nikah with Imran Khan during Bushra Bibi’s Iddat period was brought to light after a petition was filed by Muhammad Hanif in a court.

On Saturday, Senior Civil Judge Nasruminallah of Islamabad District and Sessions Court pronounced the verdict he reserved earlier.

The judge observed that the case was non-maintainable as it did not fall under his court’s jurisdiction.

During the hearing, lawyer Raja Rizwan Abbasi had argued that marriage during Iddat period is illegal.

The judge had also asked that Imran Khan’s marriage took place in Lahore, how does this court have jurisdiction?

Advocate Raja Rizwan Abbasi told the court that Nikah Khawan was also taken from Islamabad for Nikah.
